Andrew M. Smith, DMD
Dr. Andrew Smith is excited about living and working in Salt Lake County. He was born and raised in Murray, Utah and attended Utah State University where he graduated cum laude in 1998. He moved east to Boston, Massachusetts, to attend the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During dental school Dr. Smith earned the Merit Scholarship. Dr. Smith graduated from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 2002 where he was a recipient of “The Dean Lonnie H. Norris Award for Achievement, Professionalism, and Strength of Character.”
Dr. Smith also completed a General Practice Residency from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 2003. During the residency he completed rotations in the emergency department at New England Medical Center, and anesthesia training in the operating room. Dr. Smith also treated dental patients with severe physical and mental disabilities in the dental clinic as well as in the operating room. His residency also consisted of treating complex cosmetic cases as well as orthodontic training.
In 2008, Dr. Smith completed a two-year course in orthodontics from Progressive Orthodontic Seminars. Soon after completing the orthodontic course, he was asked to join the team of instructors at Progressive Orthodontic Seminars. As an instructor, Dr. Smith had the opportunity to teach other dentists around the world, as well as all over the United States. In 2013, Dr. Smith completed a mini residency in dental implant placement from WhiteCap Institute. His most recent education has been from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, training in the use of BOTOX® and dermal fillers to enhance a person’s youthfulness and smile. Dr. Smith believes that dental treatment and dental esthetics should be as comfortable as possible and give everyone the smile that they have always dreamed of.
Dr. Smith spends most of his free time with his family. He enjoys watching his sons and daughter play baseball, basketball, tennis and dance. If he is not at the ballpark or at the dental office, you may see him at Home Depot or Lowes — as he spends a great deal of time doing projects at home. His hobbies also include photography and cycling.
Dr. Jason Wareham, DMD
After working in Corporate America for 15 years, Dr. Jason Wareham decided it was time for a career change. He decided to pursue his dreams and became a dentist. Dr. Wareham completed his undergraduate schooling at the University of Maryland – Baltimore County and earned his doctorate at Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine. Since dental school, Dr. Wareham has continued his education to keep up to date with the latest procedures, technology and patient care. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Utah Dental Association (UDA), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
Dr. Wareham has a passion for helping people and has volunteered for several humanitarian opportunities both locally and abroad. His humanitarian efforts have taken him to Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, where he provided dental care to people in remote areas of those countries. At home, he has volunteered his time at the 4th Street Clinic, Give Kids a Smile, Senior Citizen Health Fair, Back to School Brush Up and other community events.
Dr. Wareham has been married for over 20 years to his wife Amy. They have four children — Nick, Shannon, Kaitlyn and Kellie. Their kids enjoy school, violin, singing, basketball and acting. They are also “parents” to their Labrador Retriever, Drake.
He is an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoys trail riding, hiking, camping and basically anything outdoors. Dr. Wareham moved to Utah in 2012 from Maryland and he loves all that Utah has to offer in its great outdoors. When Dr. Wareham is not in the mountains, he can be found at the ice rink where he enjoys playing hockey.
